DISCLAIMER
The block and texture images are intended for indicative purposes only and actual textures and shades may vary between manufacturing locations. Please contact your regional sales office for further information and sample blocks. We advise the construction of sample panels on site as masonry appearance cannot be appreciated from individual blocks.
Our Solid Dense Concrete Blocks with a ‘Standard’ finish provide an excellent surface for mortars, renders and plasters. They are the most durable and resilient block in our product range, making them perfect for higher strength, acoustic and highly resilient applications.
Dense blocks are available in two finishes, the ‘Standard’ texture finish provides an excellent surface for mortars, renders and plasters, whereas the ‘Paint-grade’ close textured finish provides a smoother surface, making this ideal for internal paint-grade applications.
Dense Blocks are readily available in a design of solid, cellular and hollow configurations offering a flexible choice of design requirements with a standard face size of 440mm x 215mm. All dense blocks are manufactured from high quality class 2 aggregates, consisting of up to 30% recycled raw material and are suitable for use above and below damp-proof course (DPC).
Dense blocks are manufactured to BS EN 771-3 and are ISO 9001 Quality Assured, ISO 14001 Environmentally Certified and hold BES 6001 ‘Excellent’.

Walled Weight
Walled weight is for a single-leaf wall, plastered on both sides.
Sound Reduction Rw values are based on wall mass and assumes a plastered finish on both sides (Standard) and no finish (Fairtex).
The block weights quoted above are approximate and include the typical additional weight from the moisture content.
Fire resistance periods to BS EN 1996-1-2 for a single-leaf, non load-bearing plastered wall.
